You will reach Palazzo Ducezio, now housing the town hall and known for its “Hall of Mirrors”. You will see the three-flight staircase, leading to St. Nicholas Cathedral, where you will admire many works of art and the mortal remains of San Corrado Confalonieri, contained in a silver urn.
Then, you will reach Palazzo Nicolaci, known as the “Golden Villa”, whose balconies are supported by corbels in the shape of lions, centaurs, mermaids, winged horses and chimeras. Here, just under the palace, on the third Sunday of May, a major Flower Festival is held.
